New Features of CogentQC.NET Version 2.0

ActiveReports 6

  • ActiveReports 6 introduces a host of new functions. Cogent has integrated most functions, including those below, and is adding more in 2010.
    • Better, faster, smarter reporting engine
    • Most Cogent SQL Server database tables and fields now available for reporting
    • Integrated Cogent Query Builder – enables filtering of reports by any available field
    • New User Guide – plus extensive online support (demos, how-to’s, documentation, knowledge base, FAQ)
    • New Report Order function – allows user to determine the sort order of fields included in the report. Default sort order is sequence of field inclusion in report.
    • New Cross Section Controls – CrossSectionLine control renders a dynamically growing vertical line and CrossSectionBox control renders a rectangular outline with corners that can be rounded by setting the radius property
    • New Snap Lines – freely move controls on the design space without snapping to grid (default setting) or align perfectly with other controls (optional).
    • Direct Input in Text, Label and Check-Box Controls – Double-click inside the ActiveReports TextBox control or select it and press the F2 key to edit text directly in the control instead of using the Properties window. If you do use the Properties window, the Text property now supports multi-line text input.
    • Text Padding for Labels and TextBox Controls – Padding property with five settings at design time enables creation of space around text.

Audit Shell

  • Audit shell configuration and management options expanded
    • Supervisor tab allows second auditor to perform same audit on a loan record – within the same shell – while preserving original audit.
    • Notes tab allows auditor to make unlimited notes about each audit question (for internal purposes), separate from question-level Comments.
    • Audit questions may be manually ordered, regardless of sequence of Audit ID numbers. (Enables grouping of similarly conditioned questions)
    • Navigation improvements enhance user-friendliness (e.g., multiple ways of moving through audit)
    • For each sample type, users can now set the minimum status a loan must be in in order to be reviewed

Query and Condition Builder

  • Central location for management of all audit question and feedback conditions (“queries”)
    • View, edit, create and de-activate all queries in system
    • Automatically validate queries based on audit shell selected, status of audit questions, and tables or data values of query components

Lookup Table Manager

  • Enhanced management of lookup tables
    • Improve data integrity of lookup tables by correcting mis-spellings, typos and other errors
      Re-assign non-valid lookup table values to valid ones (e.g., assign “Smith John” and “SmithJohn” to “Smith, John”).
    • System scans all instances of re-assigned values in database and re-assigns them in loan and audit records.

Debt-Income and Appraisal Data Worksheet Pages

  • Enhancements improve management functions
    • Now configurable to display audit questions on top and worksheet on bottom or vice versa.
    • Customization of worksheets quicker and easier

Feedback Management

  • Enhancements improve usability of feedback functions
    • Closed feedback items now hidden in Web interface for easier management of outstanding items
      Feedback items can now be purged (deleted from database)
    • Manage Feedback screen can be grouped by Recipient or by Audit (loan number)
    • Feedback Recipients now separated by sample type
    • Expanded tables/fields by which to filter feedback generation

Reverification Letter Management

  • Enhancements expand options for letter management
    • Received and closed letters can now be purged (deleted from database)
    • Reverification letters may be sent by email, exported or printed and mailed – system tracks letter status and aging for all options.

Help/About Screen

  • Enhanced for improved version tracking and support
    • Version, build and build date tracked
    • Data dictionary tracked
    • New update log introduced

Loan Assignment

  • New (exportable) Assignment Report lists all loans assigned to one or more auditors
    • Auditors may be now assigned loans from any status date period

User Access

  • New user permission options permit granular control of audit shell and system behaviors for different levels of user (e.g., “in training”)
